On October 8 in The VC Corner I shared 80 seed AI funds with a dated deal in the last 180 days. That list is a sprint plan for seed funds in a 180-day window.
A raise needs the whole map. Your lead might be a seed fund, and your Series A might come from the venture arm of the company that becomes your biggest customer.
So I built the map.
The AI Corner Investors Database holds 13,486 investors who back AI companies, sorted by type into five tabs:
VC Funds: 6,649 venture funds, micro VCs, accelerators, solo GPs, venture studios and family offices
Angels: 2,933 individual angels and fund partners, including 62 syndicates and angel networks
Corporate VC: 979 corporate venture arms and strategic investors
Private Equity: 223 private equity and growth firms with AI activity
China: 2,702 China-based investors of every type, kept in their own tab

Every investor appears once. We merged records by website domain and, where a website was missing, by name, so a fund that shows up on ten public pages takes up one row.
The stage coverage is where this gets useful for a founder. 7,933 investors outside China are recorded investing at seed, and 3,080 at pre-seed:

Look at the corporate column. 610 corporate venture arms are recorded writing seed checks into AI. Founders tend to leave corporates for later rounds. In AI, a strategic investor at seed can bring a first enterprise customer along with the check.
Recency matters as much as stage. 2,594 of the venture funds carry the date of their latest AI deal, and 274 of them announced one in the last 30 days:

Those 274 funds are the partners with the freshest reason to take a meeting this month. 487 funds that write pre-seed or seed checks closed an AI deal in the last 90 days.
Before a row went in, it had to survive the checks. Public investor lists look clean until you open the rows, and here is what the checks caught:
A “top AI angel” whose 68 recorded AI deals all went into a company he founded, every one led by him. Removed.
Another “AI angel” whose highlighted deals were a grocery store and a school. Removed.
A “seed AI” deal that turned out to be a $10.5M Series A in a mobile gaming studio.
A ranking of “top private equity firms in AI” from March 2024 that included venture firms.
202 people filed as funds, from well-known operators to AI researchers. They now sit in Angels, where you’d look for them.
29 investors typed only as “Investor”. They’re now pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and private equity firms, each placed in the right tab.
Every focus line in the database is written by us from the investor’s own public description, in one short sentence on what it backs and at which stages. Where the public description was too thin to summarize, the cell stays empty.
Every one of the 13,486 rows passed those checks.
